Rheinland Air Service (RAS), a decades-long aviation industry leader, is the exclusive European representative for some of the world’s most in-demand aircraft – turboprops, helicopters, and business jets.

RAS Displays Latest HondaJet, Daher TBM and Kodiak, and the Bell 505 Helicopter

MÖNCHENGLADBACH, Germany, April 17, 2024 – Rheinland Air Service (RAS), a decades-long aviation industry leader, is the exclusive European representative for some of the world’s most in-demand aircraft – turboprops, helicopters, and business jets.

Come see the top four on display April 17–20, 2024 in Friedrichshafen, Germany at AERO 2024. Join in celebrating the 30th edition of Europe’s most important business and general aviation trade show.

HondaJet Elite II Makes First Appearance in Friedrichshafen

A striking dark gunmetal HondaJet Elite II with a monarch orange stripe will be on display, the first time this light jet model has been shown at AERO. The Elite II offers performance that redefines. Enjoy a maximum cruise speed of 422 KTAS, maximum cruise altitude at FL430, NBAA IFR range of 1,547 NM, and baggage space of 1.75 m³.

The new Elite II builds upon HondaJet design innovations like the Over-the-Wing Engine Mount, natural laminar flow, composite fuselage, and advanced avionics. Developed from the Garmin G3000 system, the intuitive avionics interface reduces pilot workload and increases operational safety. New features announced in 2023 include Autothrottle and Emergency Autoland.

See the HondaJet Elite II live in Hall A3 – Booth 305.

Daher Features Very Fast TBM 960 and Rugged Kodiak 100 Series III Turboprops

The Daher TBM 960 is the latest refinement of the very fast TBM turboprops. Flying with digital power, the TBM 960 accommodates six people with a maximum range of 1,730 NM, a maximum payload of 1,466 lbs, and a maximum cruise speed of 330 KTS. For safety and peace of mind, the HomeSafe™ emergency autoland automatically brings the plane to a runway landing. Garmin’s new 3D SafeTaxi is also available to improve runway safety. See the aircraft, try the on-site TBM Configurator, and get a demo of the Me & My TBM mobile app.

Daher’s ruggedly versatile Kodiak 100 turboprop is also being featured at AERO 2024. Called the “ultimate escape vehicle,” the Kodiak enables remarkable adventures.

Offering exceptional short takeoff and landing (STOL) performance, plus advanced Garmin avionics, this 8–10 seat plane easily masters any mission you throw its way. A Kodiak can pick up medevac emergencies, drop off skydivers, and quickly reconfigure for cargo, family getaways, or company executives.

Bell 505 Jet Ranger X Autopilot Helicopter Available at AERO

Featuring a high-tech glass flight deck, and a flexible open cabin design, the Bell 505 redefines versatility. With its 1+4 passenger capacity, 125 KTS speed, and standard 306 NM range, you can expertly fly public safety missions, medical evacuations, utility surveys, private charters, corporate ferries, and much more. Because this show helicopter is available for sale, you can put it to work right away.

In February, EASA joined the FAA and Canada’s TCCA in certifying the Garmin GFC 600H flight control system – an autopilot system already installed on our Bell 505 at AERO. Called a “game-changer” by rotorcraft experts, the GFC 600HTM features a console-mounted mode controller with push-button controls, along with a night vision goggle (NVG) compatible display. Integrated smart servos provide pitch, roll, and yaw axis control.

The represented helicopter on the AERO display comes equipped with the powerful, 3-axis version of the Garmin Autopilot system, making it ready for immediate use. It is on display for AERO expo visitors and available for purchase upon request.
