Which shop do you work in?
I work in the Interior Shop
Tell us about your daily tasks:
My daily tasks are laminating, painting, gluing, wallpapering, thermoplastic welding, plotting (making stickers and stencils for paint jobs), mixing colors, spot repair work and airbrush work on parts. We repair all plastic parts and everything that is installed in the aircraft, such as kitchens, toilets, walls and cockpit parts. You could also say I am a plastic surgeon for aircraft. I am also a parts inspector for this department (interior store) and coordinate the work flow for the complete refurbishment of aircraft cabins.
Since when have you been working for RAS and what do you like about your work here?
I have been working for RAS for 9 years, and I really like the versatility in my job.
Which project did you enjoy most?
I enjoyed the project in Namibia, where we did maintenance work on an aircraft. I enjoyed setting up the working station there, to conform to European standards.
