As a long-established player in the aviation industry, Rheinland Air Service (RAS) serves as the exclusive representative for some of the world’s most sought-after aircraft across the turboprop, helicopter, and business aviation segments. At AERO 2026, the company presents a broad portfolio of current models and recent developments.
At the center of this year’s presence are two Daher premieres: the TBM 980, appearing at AERO for the first time, and the Kodiak 900, making its European debut. In addition, RAS is showcasing the HondaJet Elite II as well as the Bell 505 and Bell 407, highlighting advancements in range, automation, and operational flexibility.
RAS will be exhibiting in hall A3 (Booth 305) and in the helicopter hall B5 (Stand 201). In addition to aircraft sales, the company provides comprehensive MRO services across four locations in Germany and holds certifications from EASA, FAA, and CAA (UK), covering maintenance, repair, overhaul, and complex aircraft modifications.
TBM 980 – New Garmin G3000 PRIME cockpit in focus
In Hall A3, the spotlight is on the TBM 980, the latest addition to the TBM lineup.
Equipped with the new Garmin G3000 PRIME cockpit, the aircraft introduces a significantly upgraded avionics suite with increased processing power, enhanced connectivity, and improved user interface logic. Three large 14-inch touchscreen displays provide clear system visualization and fast response times.
Combined with the PT6E-66XT engine featuring dual-channel FADEC, the TBM 980 delivers digitally managed engine performance alongside high cruise speeds and efficient operation.
Kodiak 900 – European premiere of a versatile multi-mission aircraft
Also featured at the Daher stand is the Kodiak 900, presented in Europe for the first time.
Powered by the Pratt & Whitney PT6A-140A, the aircraft reaches cruise speeds of up to 210 KTAS while maintaining the Kodiak family’s well-known STOL capabilities for short and unpaved runways. The extended fuselage allows for a cabin configuration of up to 10 passengers and offers significantly improved comfort.
As a true multi-mission aircraft, the Kodiak 900 supports a wide range of operations—from passenger and shuttle flights to specialized missions. At AERO, it will be displayed in passenger configuration and will be available for demonstration flights following the show.
HondaJet Elite II – Advancing safety through automation
RAS and Honda Aircraft present the HondaJet Elite II in Hall A3, the world’s first twin-engine light jet certified with Emergency Autoland (EAL).
Following its FAA certification earlier this year, the system is capable of taking full control of the aircraft in the event of pilot incapacitation. It manages navigation and communication, selects a suitable airport, and performs approach, landing, and rollout autonomously. This positions the HondaJet at the forefront of safety and automation in its class.
The Autothrottle system, recently certified by EASA, further enhances operations by automatically managing thrust and reducing pilot workload.
Visitors can also learn more about the new APMG S upgrade for in-service aircraft, which includes increased maximum takeoff weight (MTOW) and performance improvements.
Bell 505 & 407 – Extended range capabilities on display
In helicopter hall B5, Bell and RAS present the Bell 505 equipped with an integrated Auxiliary Fuel Tank.
With more than 600 aircraft delivered worldwide and over 220,000 flight hours, the Bell 505 continues to demonstrate strong market demand. The auxiliary tank increases range from 567 km to up to 695 km, significantly expanding operational flexibility.
The display is complemented by the Bell 407 GXi, a versatile platform featuring a FADEC-controlled turbine and a flexible cabin configuration suited for a wide range of missions. An optional auxiliary tank increases its range to up to 717 km.
